Master Key Experience Week 17 – Permission and Another Virtue

2

It was an eye-opening webinar this week, just like it is each week during the Master Key Experience. But this week felt a little different as a result of this thought-provoking question.

Have you given yourself permission?

When it comes to being happy or to unleashing the greatness that is inside, is it a situation of just talking the talk or actually walking the walk? Have you actually taken action to explicitly give yourself permission to be? Ultimately it’s the only way to truly achieve or claim what’s yours. So during week 17 of the MKE it was time to start giving that explicit permission by telling myself the following phrase.

I give myself permission to be [fill in the blank].

So throughout the week I gave myself permission to be happy and to be powerful. I gave permission to achieve my personal pivotal needs of liberty and legacy. I gave permission to be persistent and see persistence as it was my virtue this week.

However giving permission for whatever is desired, whatever is being pursued comes with a warning though. In part 17 Haanel points out that caution is in order when it comes to pursuit so as to not pursue the symbols of what you desire.

“You may be pursuing the symbols of power, instead of power itself. You may be pursuing fame instead of honor, riches instead of wealth, position instead of servitude; in either event you will find that they turn to ashes just as you overtake them.”

Simply put don’t get caught up in the river of dreams that most people find themselves in or stuck in the cement as a result of pursuing what others want for you. Instead focus and take action on pursuing your definite major purpose and the true bliss that comes with realizing it. For that is true power. Achieve the truths declared in the Declaration of Independence – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that is waiting to be claimed.

This week was another reminder that everything, including my definite major purpose, starts in the world within with my thoughts. It’s why a positive mental attitude is so important. Haanel indicates what happens when one makes the decision to focus within.

“When you get tot the heart of things, it is comparatively easy to understand and command them.”

After 17 weeks it’s still a work in progress, as I continue chipping away at the cement that’s built up over the years and occasionally fall back on old habits. However after 17 weeks I continue to see little changes and recognize the amazing things that have and will continue happen on this Master Key Experience journey. All as a result of focusing on the world within and concentrating an hour or so every day on the person I intend to become. The end result of course will be manifesting my dharma and following my bliss.

For I give myself permission to be happy. I give myself permission to become who I WILL to be.

That is an amazing review of the week. The greatest part for me reading your post is how much I can see the magic that is flowing from you now that you have permission to let it.
