Since day 1 of the Master Key Experience one of the daily exercises has been to spend at least 15 minutes a day in silence. While I haven’t managed to successfully complete it every day, on the days that I have it has been wonderful.

“Perception will come only in the Silence; this seems to be the condition required for all great purposes. You are a visualizing entity. Imagination is your workshop. It is here that your ideal is to be visualized.”

Charles Haanel, The Master Key Experience

It is during these times that I’ve been able to focus on my definite major purpose, to visualize the future me manifesting this purpose and achieving my bliss.

However it also takes work to achieve it. And the last 20 weeks in the Master Keys I’ve been working on a progression that will lead to its achievement.

“Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become that best that your are capable of becoming.”

John Wooden

That progression has including the various aspects of Coach Wooden’s pyramid of success. Things like Industriousness, which involves attending weekly webcasts, sitting, daily readings, writing this blog about my journey, overcoming challenges. Another is Enthusiasm, which involves stimulating the imagination by enthusiastically completing aspects of my plan of action and the weekly course requirements. Yet another is having alertness by constantly seeking to improve and learn by being an observer as opposed to a reactor. These are just a few of the 15 aspects of Coach Wooden’s pyramid that I’ve implemented over the last 20 weeks. Part of the process of focusing on the world within to create a new world without.

And speaking of imagination, Einstein has said it is more important to have that than knowledge. It’s why the silence is so important, it is the time to focus on the fact that I can be what I will to be. But only if I’m willing to step out of my comfort zone by being willing to change and act on the burning desire to achieve what I want to achieve instead of what others may want for me. Every day it means asking if I’m willing to get uncomfortable in order to grow into the greatness that is inside of me. And this starts with my thoughts because

“We must ‘be’ before we can ‘do’ and we can ‘do’ only to the extent to which we ‘are’, and so what we do will necessarily coincide with what we ‘are’ and what we are depends upon what we ‘think’.”

Charles Haanel, The Master Key Experience

Crazy when thinking about how far I’ve come since starting this experience 20 weeks ago. I may not quite be where I expected to be at this point, but I KNOW I am on my way to manifesting my definite major purpose, or dharma thanks to taking the time to sit in silence regularly.
