Master Key Experience Week 23 – Aha Moment!

For the past ten months or so I’ve tried to limit my consumption of news coverage. Sure I want to be informed like everyone else, but there’s a trap that is always lurking with all the options in a 24/7 availability environment. And I must admit the week of March 15, I fell through that trap with the domination of Coronavirus and the various issuances of emergency orders and guidances. It definitely made for a chaotic and difficult week as I got caught up in the coverage. At the same time it was an eye-opening week with some realizations.

“The average person is entirely innocent of any deep thinking; he accepts the ideas of others, and repeats them, in very much the same way as a parrot; this is readily seen when we understand the method which is used to form public opinion, and this docile attitude on the part of large majority who seem perfectly willing to let a few persons do all their thinking for them …”

Not giving an opinion unless asked and utilizing the Mental Diet (no negative thoughts or actions) is one of the tools we are provided with in the Master Key Experience. And this was one of my struggles during this third week of March. There is no doubt that we need to take precautions with this novel virus, however I am also a firm believer in personal liberties and personal responsibility. So it was difficult seeing government orders that on some levels take that away even if it is temporary. Yet what was maybe more difficult was the number of people calling on government to take more restrictive actions due to a lack of trust in others. A lack of trust grounded in the negative tool of fear having such a strong grip. The law of growth ultimately in full effect since we get what we fear according to Haanel.

“Many are constantly concentrating upon sorrow, loss and discord of every kind; as though is creative it necessarily follows that this concentration inevitably leads to more loss, more sorrow and more discord.”

As I am still “catching up” so to speak on the exercises I didn’t get to the index card assignment until the middle of the week. The assignment centered on Chopra’s Law of Least Effort that had been discussed on the weekly webinar. As I was filling out the cards some perspective set in along with a realization yet again that going through the Master Key Experience is a smart decision.

The Law of Least effort basically consists of three parts. The first is an acceptance that everything (and everyone) is as it should be at that moment. So while I might with for it to be different, why should I waste energy struggling against what it is since everything is perfect for the point and time it is at. The second part deals with responsibility, and taking it for the situation at hand along with what I see as problems. An important key to this second part is to do so without blaming anyone or anything, including myself. By taking responsibility I open the door to turning a perceived problem into an opportunity and ultimately a benefit. The final part of the law of least effort involves being defenseless. In other words not feeling the need to defend or convince other of the need to accept my point of view. This of course allows me to stay open-minded and see all points of view on a topic or circumstance.

That aha moment struck again as I reviewed the webinar notes on this law of least effort. These notes highlighted all the tools that we’ve been provided with all these weeks to live by this law each day. It may not be easy, taking focus and vigilance, but the tools are there. Tools such as greeting each day with love, giving love through showing of kindness instead of negativity, and living each day as if it is my last. Tools that will assist me in achieving my ultimate desire, fulfilling of my definite major purpose.

“When your internal reference point is your spirit, when you are immune to criticism and unfearful of any challenge, you can harness the poser of love, and use energy creatively for the experience of affluence and evolution.”
