Master Key Experience – The Continuation
August 4, 2020
It’s definitely been an interesting 4 months since the end of the 26 week Master Key Experience. Covid-19 has brought much fear to society as a whole and differing opinions on everything from stay-at-home to masks to when/if schools should reopen and should sports resume, let alone with fans. And then there’s the discussion of race brought into the national spotlight with protests and riots focusing on both past history and addressing the future which has it’s own set of opinions. Prior to going through the Master Key Experience I would have been jumping right in putting forth my point of view and consistently defending my position. And in the process getting caught up in all the negativity brought about by things like fear and shame. However time and again I’ve found myself observing more, not giving my opinion quite as much. I’ve also not felt the need to constantly defend my opinion when I do give it. And that is why every day I am grateful for having gone through this course, learning about things like the Law of Least Effort and the 7 day Mental Diet that have helped so much in this area.
That isn’t to say the last 4 months hasn’t had ups and downs as the old blueprint puts up a tremendous fight to re-establish itself. More times than I care to count I’ve fallen off the horse when it comes to things like daily readings, index cards of successes and gratitudes, or 15 minutes of sitting completely still in silence. However I’ve continued to get back on the horse. Why? Because I’ve defined a new blueprint, a definite major purpose for my life and I’m determined to achieve it. How? By utilizing the blueprint that the Master Keys has provided both during those 26 weeks and the Continuation. As mentioned in the scrolls:
“I [will] persist until I succeed.”Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman
So what have I learned during the Continuation? More self-discovery on the adventure to truly becoming a self-directed thinker; the need to following my heart and not the multitude in the river of dreams; the importance of affirmations such as “I can be what I will to be” and “I love a mystery”. However I think the biggest lesson I’ve been learning without having the weekly webinars is that it really comes down to will and desire every day to make a choice. A choice to continue living in the past with habits that don’t move us closer to our definite major purpose. A choice made when
“We either refuse to let go of what we don’t need or refuse to claim what we do need.”Charles Haanel, The MasterKey Experience
Or a choice to embark on the Hero’s Journey by taking action to develop new, better habits that will assist in achieving our vision.
“The vision that you glorify in your mind, the ideal that you enthrone in your hear — this you will build your life by; this you will become.”James Allen, As A Man Thinketh
Now where’s that compass as I follow my heart and let my life shine?
